Join us for a guided tour in the heart of Kona! We offer a very special tour that is a one of a kind opportunity to see native forest restoration and a project that works with the community to build resiliency.
Maximum 12 people for any of the field trips. These tours are physically easy to moderate but do require walking. Bring a hat, walking shoes, and water.

The field trip cost is $50/pp for visitors, and $25/pp for kama’aina
Visit the Dry Forest ecosystem at Joseph Rock Arboretum– One of the most rare ecosystems in Hawaii and the world, yet highly species rich.
Learn and see~ plant taxonomy to learn native Hawaiian plant species, tropical hardwood trees, Future Forests Nursery, and the Hawaii Island Seed Bank.
The arboretum has a Hawaiian dry forest, a timber zone, a desert zone, and a tree walk.
