Internships

We offer 2 week internship training. We provide lodging and training sessions in the field, nursery, and seed bank. This training is based on decades of active restoration experience and teaching.

training

We provide hands on training so that new foresters can go through the step by step process of land management, seed collection, seed banking, and forest restoration.

We collect seed and process for propagation and storage in the seed bank.

The Hawaii Island Seed bank supports partners by properly cleaning, processing, packing and databasing their seed.

The Future Forests Nurseries grow plants for Hawaii restoration projects and the local community.

Future Foresters learn the entire restoration cycle so they can take the knowledge home with them to set up their own projects.
